I know your anger only does not show

I know your anger only does not show,
and I was not the lilt or Goodman swing,
I think you should completely let me go.

A double-breasted white tux does not glow,
there often blotches that forever cling,
I know your anger only does not show.

I’m only grungy verse without smooth flow,
so why still use those tasteless words that sting?
I think you should completely let me go.

I’m just a gnarled tree path engulfed in snow,
and voices grow hoarse and just cannot sing,
I know your anger only does not show.

I know there’s one more stone you want to throw,
but Teen pop and post-rock are not a thing,
I think you should completely let me go.

I breathed you in like cigarettes you know,
a stupid, cancer-ridden, painful fling,
I know your anger only does not show,
I think you should completely let me go.
